Team Seacats

High Noon

by Bonnie on Oct.24, 2007, under Miscellaneous

Hells bells…I just realized that if I go around to the other end of the balcony that I can see the rest of the course in the distance. Sorry, but I’m just not going to be able to call finishes real time on eighteen boats.

First, I can’t write and binocularate simultaneously. Second, I’m a big time numbers dorkus. In any case, the first boats are just about to head back towards the finish. Then I’m definitely going to find some socks.

I couldn’t tell whether or not Alex and Nigel or Kirk and Glenn won the second race as they were duking it out until the end, but Trey and Chuck had a much better finish while Wick and Jake were mid-fleet(ish).

There’s been some seriously tight action around the marks and a few of the teams are continuing to struggle/straggle today. You can see the results page for details, if you like.

It’s not even gone Noon here on Pensacola time and they’re setting marks for the third race. The guys may have a quick and dirty race day, finish early, before heading back to Key Sailing for a shrimp boil tonight.

Oh, and by the way. I’m calling shots from this room for the rest of the day unless someone personally phones and asks me to go out and check for the position of a particular boat; which I will be glad to do…if you have my number.
